Consistency

A lot of years, during the darkest days of winter, we easily fall off track of the good intentions we have set for ourselves. Oftentimes, those good intentions don't allow wiggle room when life gets in the way (or winter gets dark) and are hard to sustain. We end up beating ourselves up and feeling like a failure.
You're not a failure. Your system is.
What if you look at those well intentioned habits in a new bite-sized way? For example, if you keep missing the mark on your goal of walking 30 minutes/day, could you hit the mark more often if you committed to 10 minutes? This subtle shift can change everything when it comes to sustaining habits and before you know it, those 10 minutes per day adds up to big things.
The truth is, it is not about how much time you spend doing the 'thing'. What really matters is how often you show up to do the thing.
Here is your encouragement for today...spend just 10 minutes doing the thing. You'll feel better and be more likely to show up again tomorrow.
